Christmas on the island

Good food and good company, and a day off - it’s really just like everyone else’s Christmas (and the weather was a bit rubbish just like everywhere else as well).

The service flight last week was stocked with some extra goodies that we ordered ourselves, so we’re well sorted. Two KPOs; Sarah and Dana the long-term volunteers, and three feedout volunteers are here; so enough for a party. I woke to the smell of pancakes and bacon wafting up from the kitchen, as the lovely volunteers were preparing a champagne breakfast. There was also lots of hilarity over the cracker jokes and silly hats. None as funky as Ness’ elf hat with ears included. If we ever finish eating and lying about and the weather clears, some exercise may be called for – surely a dip in the ocean just to say we’ve done it. As long as we don’t forget to put the roast on….

- Becky.
